Overview of HZ Series Doubling Machines

Working Principle of HZ Series Doubling Machines

The HZ Series consists of three major systems: the Winding System, the Unwinding System, and the Electronic Control System. Its primary function is to double steel wires onto the bobbins used by steel wire braiding machines.

• Winding System: The winding and traversing unit secures the braiding machine’s bobbin between the machine head and the tailstock using pneumatic centers. An independent motor drives the rotation of the bobbin. The axial arrangement of the steel wire on the bobbin is managed by a separate axial drive control device. Additionally, a wire-breakage stop device is integrated to prevent accidents during operation. These components are coordinated via PLC and electrical control systems. Key parameters—including linear doubling speed, pitch, bobbin specifications, and doubling length—can be configured on the text display, allowing the system to operate and control the process automatically.

• Unwinding System: This system utilizes multiple independent unwinding units, tension measurement, and tension control devices to set, measure, and adjust the tension of multiple steel wires as they are gathered. The core of this system is the Tension Control Device. Each unit is equipped with an independent “single-board computer” (microcontroller). Driven by embedded software, it provides real-time control over the unwinding tension of each wire, ensuring that all wires involved in the doubling process maintain consistent and stable tension.
